Morrison (pictured), 27, arrives on a two-year contract having recently played an instrumental role in Kidderminster Harriers’ promotion to the National League. Morrison arrived on loan at Aggborough Stadium from AFC Fylde in February, with Russ Penn’s side languishing in mid-table. The centre-back was integral to a phenomenal end-of-season charge that saw Kiddy win their final six league fixtures and cruise through a tricky play-off run. In his 18 starts for the club, Kidderminster conceded just 12 goals, with Morrison playing a starring role in the heart of their defence. As the season reached crunch-time, the Harriers kept seven clean sheets in nine matches with Kyle in the side. Fylde also achieved promotion via the National League North's one automatic place, meaning Morrison also boasts the distinction of having won promotion with two clubs from the same league in the same season! He featured nine times for Fylde at the start of the campaign as they went on to secure the National League North title. Before that, previous spells saw him ply his trade across the Midlands at clubs such as Alvechurch, Halesowen Town and Leamington. Moors boss Neal Ardley told https://www.solihullmoorsfc.co.uk: “Kyle is a centre-back that we’ve liked for a while,” said Ardley. “He’s very quick and very strong in defensive duels and one-on-one situations. He’s a very good communicator and we wanted to get him in early and integrate him quickly into the group.” Warburton joins Moors from league rivals FC Halifax Town. The 31-year-old had been with the Shaymen since August 2021. He started his career with National League North side Curzon Ashton where he made nearly 100 appearances, scoring 47 goals in his time there. He went on to have spells with Salford City and again at Curzon Ashton before a move to Stockport County in 2017, scoring 34 times in 79 appearances for the Hatters. He moved to Northampton Town in July 2019 and has spent ttwo seasons with the Cobblers.
