Brisley arrives at the Impact with a wealth of EFL experience that will no doubt strengthen the squad. The 33-year-old central defender joins the Reds from National League North rivals Buxton. He had joined the Bucks in July 2022 from then-National League side Wrexham, where he had been since July 2021. Macclesfield born, he joined the Dragons after leaving League Two Port Vale. The tall, physical centre-back has also previously played for Macclesfield Town, Peterborough United, Carlisle United and Notts County. He had previously spent his entire career in the Football League, and he won the EFL Trophy with Peterborough United in 2014. Manager Billy Heath told https://www.alfretontownfootballclub.com: “I'm pleased to get this one done, I wanted to get some experience at the back and Shaun is definitely that. Any team needs an experienced centre half and I just wanted that experienced head to add to an already solid defensive line." Lewis Salmon (pictured) returns to the Impact Arena having been released from Premier League Nottingham Forest in the past couple of weeks. The 21-year-old progressed through Forest’s ranks to play for their under-21s. He also enjoyed loan spells with the likes of Trafford, Altrincham, Stalybridge Celtic and AFC Telford United as well as with Alfreton from March until May 2022. Heath added: "Lewis is young and only just been released by Forest. He's played a lot of non-League football and that will be a big advantage for us. He wants to get back into the EFL and I hope we're the club to help him get back there. We've seen before that he works hard and fits into the style we want to play. I'm very pleased to have him back at the Impact".
