With a wealth of experience as a player and manager, and a proven track record of success in his previous role, Parkinson brings a fresh perspective and a strong vision to lead the team and club into an exciting new chapter. Parkinson has an extensive understanding of Step 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 football through his playing and managerial journey. Most recently, he managed Daventry Town from Step 6 to Step 4 within a three-year period. He brings with him to the Swans his former AFC Rushden & Diamonds goalkeeping team-mate Matt Finlay as assistant manager. Finlay has worked alongside Parkinson for four-and-a-half seasons.
