Former Middlesbrough under-18 and under 21 player Green joined Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division side Whitby Town from his boyhood club in August 2022 after an initial loan spell during the second half of the 2021/22 season, and he has played an integral role in Nathan Haslam's side since he was first introduced to Blues' fans. The 2022/23 campaign saw Green score on 7 occasions in his 44 appearances in all competitions and his role towards the back end of the season aided Whitby to climb away from the relegation zone to safely finish in 15th place. Green now moves to the Flamingo Land Stadium for an undisclosed compensation fee having represented Town 64 times, scoring 12 goals. Whitby manager Nathan Haslam told https://whitbytownfc.com: "When Harry approached me, I couldn't stop him from joining a club in a higher division as I didn't want to hold him back in his career. "He's a young player who still has bags of potential and he now has the chance to show what he's all about playing in the National League North. "Scarborough came in with an offer and I wasn't going to hold him back. "I've got nothing but good things to say about Harry. He's a great kid and he's been brilliant in a Whitby Town shirt. I've not got a bad word to say about him and he feels the same towards the club. "Harry will always be welcome back at the Turnbull".
