Bury Make First New Signings
North West Counties League Premier Division club Bury FC have announced their first two new signings of the close season.

Attacker Benito Lowe joins the club with a wealth of experience in the local non-League Pyramid, having played 34 games for Wythenshawe Town last season, scoring 22 goals. The 25-year-old had re-joined Vanarama National League North side Curzon Ashton in June 2022, having scored 26 goals in the North West Counties League for New Mills in 2021/22. The son of ex-Curzon manager Gary Lowe, he spent some time with the club as a youth player. He arrived at New Mills for the first time in September 2018 and quickly gained a reputation as a goalscorer. The former Sheffield United youngster, who was once rumoured to be attracting the interest of several League clubs, including Portsmouth and Fleetwood Town, left the club in September 2019. He has also represented Skelmersdale United, Abbey Hey and Ashton United before returning to New Mills. Defender or midfielder Gareth Peet (pictured) has also become a Shaker. The 33-year-old joins after a long spell with Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division side Atherton Collieries. He first played for the Colls in 2010 and has also had spells with Ashton Athletic, Nelson and Skelmersdale United before returning to Colls. Peet made 36 appearances for the club in his final season, scoring twice.
