The 25-year-old (pictured) joins from North West Counties League side Wythenshawe Town, where he played 34 games last season having joined in the summer of 2022 from Prestwich Heys. Manager James Kinsey told http://stalybridgeceltic.co.uk: “James has all of the attributes to play much, much higher with the greatest of respects to our level. “If he applies himself correctly and keeps wanting to improve, he will be a key factor in where we end up this season. “He was a key target so again, we’re very happy he’s chosen to come and be a part of what we’re trying to achieve here.” Kinsey also revealed that former Celt, Greg Wilkinson, has joined his management team as player-coach. Greg has made 237 appearances for Celtic having first joined in August 2008. A second spell followed in 2017 where he re-joined the club and made a further 79 appearances. He now returns to Bower Fold under Kinsey and will form part of his backroom team for the 2023/24 season.
