Most recently with Billericay Town, Ekpiteta (pictured) is a former Stortford skipper who returns to add to the 53 appearances he made between 2016 and 2018. The 27-year-old had moved to Essex in July 2021 from National League South side Dover Athletic. He had signed for Macclesfield Town in September 2020 before discovering the Silkmen had folded and subsequently joined the Whites. The centre-back signed for SkyBet League Two side Newport County from National League South club Hungerford Town in June 2019. He picked up a hat-trick of awards in 2018/19 with Hungerford – being named managers`, supporters’ and players’ player of the season in a campaign where he made 45 appearances for the Crusaders. He started his career alongside twin brother Marvin in the youth set-up at Oxford United. He also had a spell at Stevenage. He joined Hungerford after spells with the likes of AFC Hayes, Bishop`s Stortford and Chelmsford City. In addition to making his professional debut in Newport's EFL Trophy fixture against West Ham United under-23s, he also gained experience in a loan move to then-National League side Ebbsfleet United. Midfielder or defender Jack Thomas returns to Stortford after leaving for then-National League South side Concord Rangers in March, looking to add to his 188 appearances for the club so far. Thomas had originally joined the Blues in early December 2021 from Isthmian League Premier Division outfit Bowers & Pitsea, where he had been since 2017, making over 160 appearances. He was initially in the club`s under-23s after being previously with Cheshunt, before becoming a first team regular and making his 100th appearance in April 2019.
