Defender Luke Ige has agreed to become a Beachboy for the 2023/24 season. The 22-year-old joins after a fine season with Isthmian League North side Witham Town. Luke is a quick, tough-tackling right back who is also comfortable at centre-back. He had been with Witham since July 2021. He started his career with Aston Villa, coming through their academy before signing for Colchester United and playing for their under 23 side. He played for Witham before and re-joined the Essex outfit from Merstham. Beachboys favourite James White has re-joined from Isthmian North outfit Great Wakering Rovers. A former Concord skipper, he returns looking to add to his 200-plus appearances with the club, where he won promotion to the Conference South, played in the Emirates FA Cup First Round and won three Essex Senior Cups. The experienced 34-year-old had been with Great Wakering since June 2022 after arriving from Isthmian Premier side Bowers & Pitsea. He had joined Bowers in July 2020 from Canvey Island, having moved to had the Gulls from East Thurrock United in June 2018. He rose to prominence with Dartford between 2010 and 2012, going on to play for Thurrock before signing for Concord Rangers in 2014. He spent five successful years with the Beachboys, becoming club captain before leaving to join East Thurrock ahead of the 2017/18 season. He featured for Canvey in the 2017/18 season's play-offs having joined on a dual registration in March 2018. Another returning to Concord is pacey winger Khale Da Costa. The 29-year-old returns to the Beachboys from Isthmian Premier rivals Enfield Town. He had only been with Town since March 2023 after arriving from National League South outfit Chelmsford City. He had been with the Clarets since the summer of 2022 after switching from league rivals Dover Athletic. He had moved to Crabble in June 2021 from National League South side Tonbridge Angels, where he had been since June 2019 after joining from St Albans City. He arrived at St Albans in July 2018 having previously featured for Concord Rangers the previous season. He started his career at the academies of both Fulham and Luton Town. However, it was at Ware that he made his first impression – enjoying three years at Wodson Park and featuring over 100 times for the Hertfordshire outfit. He signed for Hendon during the summer of 2016 before spells at Harlow Town and then Concord, who he originally joined in May 2017. And also returning to Rangers is experienced goalkeeper Lamar Joseph-Johnson (pictured). The 31-year-old returns from Isthmian Premier rivals Hornchurch. He had moved to the Urchins in November 2022 from then-Southern Division One Central club Walthamstow, where he had been since June 2022 after arriving from Isthmian North side Tilbury. He had returned to the Dockers in February 2022 from Isthmian Premier outfit Haringey Borough, where he had been since arriving from rivals Bowers & Pitsea in November 2021. He had joined Bowers in July 2020 from Canvey Island, where he had been since July 2019. A well-travelled and vastly experienced custodian, he originally came through the ranks at Charlton Athletic. He then embarked on his non-League travels, mainly around Essex, with the likes of Concord, Romford, Aveley, Grays Athletic, Chelmsford City, Tilbury, Basildon United, Thurrock and Waltham Abbey – and had more than one spell with some of them. He occasionally ventured out of Essex with Soham Town Rangers and Hertford Town. In November 2019, he received a call-up for St Lucia and kept a clean-sheet on his debut for the country in a 1–0 win against the Dominican Republic. And defender Zac Littlejohn has also returned for the 2023/24 season. The 6`4” powerful centre-back is very comfortable on the ball and also has an eye for a goal. The 22-year-old re-joins the Beachboys from league rivals Brightlingsea Regent. He had moved to Regent in November 2021 from Essex Senior League side White Ensign. He had previous experience with Brentwood Town and Canvey Island as well as Concord. And experienced midfielder or defender Fabion Simms has also been snapped up by Sammy Moore. The 33-year-old joins the Beachboys from Walthamstow. He had joined Stow in December 2022 from former Southern Division One Central rivals Harlow Town, who he originally signed for in March 2014 from Potters Bar Town and then moved to then-Isthmian Premier outfit Cheshunt in August 2019 and to Isthmian South Central side Waltham Abbey in October 2020 before re-joining Harlow in May 2021. He was previously with Kentish Town and Hendon.
