Manager Gary Setchell has persuaded his son Danny (pictured) to re-join him at Steel Park. The 24-year-old midfielder moves from league rivals Harborough Town. He had moved to Harborough in November 2022 from Southern Division One Central side Bedford Town, where he had been since early October 2020 and played under his father. He had re-joined Wisbech Town in September 2019 after short spells with rivals Stamford AFC and United Counties League neighbours Holbeach United. He had been the players` player of the year at Wisbech for 2018/19 after scoring 12 goals. He was also previously with King`s Lynn Town and Wisbech St Mary. Another familiar face for Setchell is midfielder Joe Butterworth, who also played for him at Bedford. The 27-year-old signed for Stamford AFC in the summer of 2021 from then-Northern Premier Division One Midlands rivals Yaxley, where he had been since October 2016. He arrived at Leading Drove in the following the sad demise of Whittlesey Athletic. He signed dual forms with Bedford in November 2021.
