The 26-year-old is an England C international and joins the Wings as club captain following his departure from league rivals Eastbourne Borough. Dickenson made 86 appearances for Eastbourne after arriving at Priory Lane in 2020 and he re-unites with his former boss Danny Bloor at Park View Road ahead of the 2023/24 season. A product of Gillingham’s academy, he made his senior bow in the EFL Trophy in 2016, before making his League debut in 2017. While at Priestfield Stadium, he embarked on a loan spell with Hasting United before joining Hythe Town where he spent two seasons, before being snapped up by Hemel Hempstead Town for the 2019/20 campaign. His impressive performances for Hemel prompted Eastbourne to bring him to Sussex where he became a mainstay in the Sports’ defence.
