Twenty-four-year-old Maloney, a former Charlton Athletic youngster, started his career in south-east London at under-14 level, signing his first professional contact in May 2017 following the completion of a scholarship.
Taylor made his first team debut for The Addicks back in August 2017 – an EFL Trophy group stage win over Crawley Town.
Two loan moves to Concord Rangers were sandwiched between a spell at League Two Newport County – where he netted his first professional hat-trick in a 7-4 EFL Trophy victory over Cheltenham Town.
The Gravesend-born midfielder left The Valley in July 2020, but was then signed by Bromley a few months later and went on to make 17 appearances in the National League.
A year later and Maloney moved to Isthmian League Premier Division side Lewes on a free transfer, notching 10 goals from midfield in 32 games.
Signed by Welling United ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, the crafty technician managed an impressive 12 goals and 13 assists from 24 games, with a National League South season under his belt.
Manager Spencer Day told his club’s website: “Someone I’ve been hoping we could get but had to be patient due to finances and jumped when others higher hesitated.
“Goals and assists galore as a number ten last season at Welling and multiple man of the matches.
“A fantastic signing for the club and he and I both believe we can push him back into the EFL sooner rather than later.”
Folivi (pictured) is a 25-year-old highly sought-after striker.
The former Watford, Colchester United and Chelmsford City striker has penned a deal at the BR Saunders Transport Community Stadium.
Boro boss Spencer Day has bagged hot property Michael Folivi, with the ex EFL striker moving the Hampshire for the 2023/24 season.
Having started out his career at Watford, he took on loan spells with Coventry City, Boreham Wood and AFC Wimbledon (twice) throughout the following years, before signing for League Two Colchester United in the 2020/21 season.
Injury resulted in Folivi departing Colchester City for National League South side Chelmsford City in February 2023, where he netted 6 goals in 14 appearances for The Clarets.
Day couldn’t hold back his excitement at the signing: “Wow, just wow!
“Buzzing to get Michael! A pacey striker who scored regularly in the EFL before a shocking injury.
“As he showed at the end of last season, including against us, what a striker he is… and with Alfie [Pavey] has the real prospects of a lethal partnership.”
“I’ve no doubt he won’t be with us long and thrilled he chose us after a great conversation.
“Thanks to his agents too who appreciate what Boro can offer Michael on his path forward whilst being fantastic for us”.
