Tomlin
has been the manager of Sunday League side Aylesbury Flooring for the past two
seasons, and ended this campaign winning all five competitions that the club
entered, the league title wrapped up last weekend completed a truly remarkable
season where four cups were lifted beforehand including the infamous FA Sunday
Cup success at the end of April which they won at Peterborough United by
beating Birstall Stamford with three goals in the final 13 minutes of the game.
Winslow
chairman Andy Setterfield said: “After losing Paul and Roni after another
successful season, we wanted to appoint someone we felt would be able to build
on the success of the last two seasons. We had a lot of interest in the
position, but George was the outstanding candidate.
“George
has had an impressive start to his managerial career having been in charge of
the all-conquering Aylesbury Flooring FC, picking up the FA Sunday Cup along
the way. He will be joined on his management team by Julian Robinson who has
plenty of experience of the SSMFL and I look forward to working with them both.
“I
would also again like to place on record mine and the club’s thanks to Paul
Alleyne and Roni Joe for their commitment over the last two seasons”. |
