Laird joined the Seagulls originally in 2011 from Bridgwater Town following his father Craig to the Woodspring Park outfit.

 

He stayed with Weston for four successful seasons during which he became captain.

 

He then went to Weymouth and followed this with spells at Yate Town, Hereford United and Bridgwater Town before being signed by then-head coach Scott Bartlett for a second spell with Weston.

 

Laird has an impressive background, having gained his UEFA B licence and holding the position of course leader Level 2 football coaching course at Bridgwater College.

 

He has also had spells playing abroad for Swedish side Ange IS and Norwegian outfit Steinkjer
