Gedling Boosted by Arrival of Experienced Midfielder
East Midlands Counties League club Gedling Miners Welfare have signed experienced central midfielder Josh Thornton.

Thornton joins Gedling from Total Motion Midland League Premier Division side Long Eaton United, having previously played at the likes of Basford United, Belper Town, Rugby Town, Carlton Town and Arnold Town.

 

Managers Andy Clerke and Chris Marsh told the club`s website: Josh is one of several new faces featured our first two pre-season fixtures this week and we’re really pleased with how the squads shaping up. We are also pleased to announce that Matt Newton, the former Carlton Town wideman has also signed for us this week. Matt will offer us something completely different this year with his exciting and direct play down the wings”.
