.....stadia pitch following unanimous support at a Wychavon Council public meeting held on Wednesday night.

The development, that will take place at the Saltmen`s former home ground at King George’s Playing fields where they were forced to leave in 2017, will be taken forward as a joint venture between Wychavon Council and Droitwich Spa Community Football Club.

This marks a key milestone in the development of football for all ages and gender in the town.

Everybody at the club are obviously delighted with the news, which falls in line with the community club’s vision and their 5-year plan and for which they have fought hard.

The news will enable the team to return home, having had to play their football out of town in Stourport due to the current ground not being suitable for Step 5 football.

The club welcomes the unanimous support of Wychavon District Council and look forward to working with the Council to develop not only the stadia pitch but also the community 3G pitch."
