The former
Reading YMCA boss takes over from Duncan Mitchell, who stepped down from the
role after seven years.
Goudie has
retained Andy Silver as his assistant-manager, with the duo having previously
worked together at Binfield.
Wallingford’s
new boss also has Southern League experience with Thatcham Town and Abingdon
United.
Goudie told the
Oxford Mail: “I am delighted to accept the role at Wallingford. After meeting
the chairman Simon Cowlard and former manager Duncan Mitchell, I was struck by
their enthusiasm and genuine love for the club. I hope to be able to play a
small part in helping the club achieve success. I look forward to meeting the
players and to starting work on preparing for the new season.”
Cowlard added:
“We are delighted to appoint Glenn. We are confident we have found the right
man for the job. We are moving in the right direction and want that progression
to continue and believe Glenn ticks all the boxes for us, coming to us as he
does with a wealth of coaching and managerial experience”.
