Wingate Move Quickly to Appoint Knight

BetVictor Isthmian League Premier Division club Wingate & Finchley have moved quickly following the departure of Steve Clark and have announced that Spencer Knight will take over managerial duties.

The former St Albans City, Chelmsford City, Canvey Island and Billericay Town midfielder was assisting Nicky Ironton on the coaching staff at Isthmian League South Central outfit Ware.

He then joined Harlow Town as assistant manager in 2014 where he spent five years and 270 matches in the dug-out.

He brings a wealth of playing experience at this level; being promoted as a player both to the Isthmian League Premier Division and National League South.

He is currently away on business but shall be in charge for the visit to Brightlingsea Regent following his return.
