Francis Handed Sporting Helm
West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division club Wolverhampton Sporting CFC have appointed Francino Francis as their new manager.

Francis had been in charge of Total Motion Midland League Division One side Heath Hayes since January 2019.

 

A well-travelled player able to perform in defence or attack, Francis joined Heath Hayes from Hinckley AFC, where he had been since November 2016.

 

Jamaican-born, he signed for Hinckley from Hednesford Town, where he had been since March 2016.

 

After being released by Stoke City, Francis made 3 appearances for Watford in the season the Hornets were promoted to the Premier League before moving into non-League football and joining Redditch United.

 

Since then, he has played for the likes of Barwell, Tamworth, Chasetown and Hednesford, making more than 100 appearances for the Pitmen across two spells.

 

Francis' first game in charge of Sporting will be against Littleton on Saturday, 5th October.
