Aaron
Goulty and Domenico Panesar-Dower were both involved as the Devonians went out
of the competition 2-1 at league rivals Frome Town.
Goulty (pictured) joins after being released by SkyBet League Two side Plymouth Argyle in the
summer.
He
joined the Argyle academy at the start of his under-14 year. He quickly made an
impression within the academy, participating in the NI Milk Cup (Super Cup)
over the 2014/15 and 2015/16 season. He cancelled a family holiday to attend
the competition for his first exposure to this type of tournament football.
He
also had exposure to men’s football in the South West Peninsula League and was
involved in Plymouth`s successful FA Youth Cup run in 2017/18.
Panesar-Dower
is a talented, pacey midfielder who moved up to Weymouth`s first team after
impressing in their reserves in 2016/17 following a move from Poole Town.
In
his youth, he was selected to represent Great Britain Colleges and secured his
spot alongside 16 other elite young footballers from across the country.
He
attended a training camp at Manchester City’s training ground before playing
two warm-up matches in the UK ahead of an international tournament in Italy.
He
moved to Dorchester Town in June 2017 and, after making around 80 appearances
for the Magpies, switched to Bideford`s league rivals Winchester City in
September.
Bideford
have also signed attacking midfielder David Jerrard from Southern Premier
Division South side Gosport Borough.
Jerrard
joined Winchester in March 2019 before returning to Gosport in the summer.
That
was his third spell with Gosport, having previously served Bemerton Heath
Harlequins, Folland Sports, Bashley, Petersfield Town and Dorchester Town, for
whom he made 70 appearances and scored 11 goals. |
