....strengthening his squad after winning promotion from the Uhlsport Hellenic League.

New in for Worthians to date are goalkeeper Connor Johns, Matty Grabe, Darren Jefferies and Ryan Wood, while several of last season`s squad have also committed to the club.

Johns joins from former Hellenic League rivals Shrivenham.

He signed for them from Swindon Supermarine where he was the first choice during the 2016/17 campaign, making 53 appearances in total and winning the supporters’ and players` player of the season awards.

He was originally on the books at Swindon Town.

Grabe is a young left-back who arrives at The Elms from Southern League East side North Leigh.

Jefferies has joined from Southern League South outfit Frome Town.

An experienced campaigner at this level and above, the 25-year-old started out at Bristol Rovers, for whom he appeared once in the senior side before being released in 2012 to have his first spell with Frome.

He went on to play for Chippenham Town, Paulton Rovers and Larkhall Athletic before returning to Frome in 2015, last season making 45 appearances and netting 7 goals from midfield.

Defender Wood joins from Swindon Supermarine.

He signed for `Marine in the summer of 2016 after his release Swindon Town where he had spent the best part of ten years after joining the club from junior football.

He is a commanding defender and although he never made a first-team appearance at Swindon, he was on the bench for their Carling Cup clash with Chelsea a few seasons ago.

Four players from last season's squad have also agreed to stay on - striker Ashley Edenborough, who scored 25 goals in 34 games, Kieron Gleed, Wayne Turk and Jordan Roberts all remaining with the Worthians.
