Manager
Courtney Belford has quickly swooped to add the pair, who will add strength to
attacking and wide areas respectively.
Attacking
player Thomson, who can play anywhere behind the front man, scored more than 20
times for Atherstone a couple of seasons ago – including a hat-trick against
Hinckley.
He
has already found the net three times for them this season, adding to 7 goals
in 19 starts last term.
Prior
to his time at Sheepy Road he played for Bedworth United, Rugby Town, Coventry
Sphinx, where he scored 11 times in the Premier Division and was captain for a
time, and Nuneaton Griff.
Meanwhile,
left sided player Hirst (pictured) is a St Kitts & Nevis under-20 international and
has “bags of potential” according to Belford.
Capable
of playing at left back or on the wing, he has featured for Solihull Moors’
academy side over the last couple of seasons along with a spell in the Midland
League Premier Division with Romulus.
The
19-year-old has only scored once this season – but it was a spectacular strike
for Atherstone against Kirby Muxloe last month. |
