Former
Stockport County favourite, striker Rhys Turner, has joined.
Turner
started out at Preston North End as a youngster before being released and
playing for BetVictor Northern Premier League Premier Division side Lancaster
City.
In
2013 he signed for Stockport County as an 18-year-old from Myerscough College,
where he scored an incredible 63 goals the previous season.
After
17 goals and 6 goals for the Hatters, he moved to Oldham Athletic in January
2014 for an undisclosed Fee.
He
played 22 times for the Latics, scoring 3 times as well as having loan spells
with York City and Macclesfield Town.
In
the summer of 2016, he moved on to Morecambe where he appeared 36 times but
only found the net twice and
in January 2018, he re-joined Stockport County on loan for the rest of that
season, playing 14 times and scoring 3 goals.
Turner
joined Vanarama National League side Barrow AFC in July 2018 on a one-year
contract but retired from football after a succession of injuries after making
just 5 appearances for the Bluebirds.
However,
he has decided to make a part-time comeback with Stockport.
Joining
on dual registration with NPL Division One North West side Mossley AFC is
experienced wide attacking player Astley Mulholland and wing back Chiek Thiam.
Mulholland (pictured) joined Mossley from former league rivals Colwyn Bay in June.
He
has also played for Altrincham, Trafford, FC United of Manchester, Ashton
United, Chorley, Hyde United, Glossop North End and Barrow AFC, having begun
his career in Leeds United's academy as a youngster.
Thiem,
who turns 18 at the weekend, is a very quick and skilful wing back who signed
for Mossley in the close season after impressing in pre-season.
He
was previously a junior with Shrewsbury Town before playing senior football for
Manchester Central FC.
Jennings
is a diminutive midfielder who was originally a junior with Bury.
He
has since spent most of his time with Winsford United, although he did have a
spell with Mossley when switching to Seel Park in November 2016.
But
he returned to Winsford after making just 3 appearances for the Lilywhites.
