One of the all-time greats at Bay, Kerr returned to Hillheads last summer after a six-year absence.

Originally joining the club aged 16, he spent ten highly successful years at Whitley Bay and was a three-time FA Vase winner, scoring in all three finals.

But he left in 2013 and has since had spells with the likes of Shildon, Hebburn Town and Seaham Red Star.

He was a regular member of the side early this season but has made only occasional appearances in recent weeks.

He leaves in second place on the club’s all-time appearance list having represented Whitley Bay on 471 occasions and his 187 goals makes him third top scorer of all time.
