Returning to Reachfields is midfielder Darren Oldaker (pictured), who was originally on loan from SkyBet League One side Gillingham two seasons ago when he played 14 games for the Cannons before returning to Priestfield.

His contract with the Gills was terminated by mutual consent in August 2019.

While at Priestfield, he made 33 appearances and scored 5 goals.

A product of the Queens Park Rangers academy, he joined Vanarama National League South side Billericay Town shortly after leaving Gillingham.

Hythe have also signed 28-year-old striker Tom Murphy from Isthmian Premier Division side Cray Wanderers.

Murphy joined Cray in late July 2019. He began his career at Gillingham, before gaining non-League experience with Lewes, Thurrock, Farnborough, Horsham and Margate whilst at Priestfield.

He joined Dover Athletic in August 2013 and scored 25 league goals during his time there.

His 2015/16 campaign was hampered by a hamstring injury he sustained in only the second game of the season. In June 2016 he moved to Maidstone United and then joined Dartford in January 2017 after spending part of the campaign on loan at Eastbourne Borough.

He was loaned back to Margate in 2018/19.
