Thurlow Nunn League Division One club Diss Town have appointed Steve Eastaugh as their new manager until the end of the season.

The position became available earlier this month after Jon Abbott took the decision to resign following a one-year stint at the helm.

A number of interested parties put their names forward for the job, but following an interview process, the club's Board of Directors believe that Eastaugh is the right man to take the club forward for the remainder of 2019/20.

Eastaugh took charge of Norwich United in 2016 and guided them to a club-best ninth-place finish in the Isthmian League North during his first campaign.

However, having been unable to keep them up the following season, he stepped down in the summer of 2018.
