Laird
brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the club
He
was at Bridgwater Town from 2006 to 2010, and led the Robins to a third-place
finish in his final season at Fairfax Park where they were just minutes from
securing promotion to Step 3 before falling in extra-time of the play-off final
to Cirencester Town.
He
left Bridgwater to take over at Weston-super-Mare in the summer of 2010,
stabilising the Seagulls and guiding them to their highest-ever league position
– seventh in the Conference South.
He
departed Weston after four years at the Woodspring Stadium and returned to
management with Yate Town at the end of the 2014/15 season.
He
returned to a youthful-looking Bridgwater for a second spell in May 2016
replacing the outgoing Paul West.
In
January 2017, Laird took the helm at Southern League Premier Division
Dorchester Town but left the Avenue Stadium the following August after a disappointing start to the season.
More
recently he has been assistant manager at Southern League Division One South outfit
Bideford AFC. |
