Midfielder
Archie Haskayne has agreed to join the Centurions.
The
22-year-old left league rivals Evesham United in December 2018 to join the
Army.
Haskayne
played for the youth teams of Worcester City and Gloucester City before
starting out in senior football with Cheltenham Saracens in the Uhlsport
Hellenic League, helping them finish in a promotion position in Division
One West before Slimbridge gave him his chance at Southern League level in 2016.
He
played 28 games for the Swans, scoring 2 goals, before being signed by Evesham
in 2017.
He
made a big impact at the Jubilee Stadium and totalled over 70 games before
joining the forces.
With
Lewis Clayton moving to Evesham recently, Cirencester needed a new goalkeeper
and have snapped up Alex Harris from Southern Premier Division South side
Merthyr Town.
Harris
joined the Martyrs in June 2019 from Cirencester`s league rivals Cinderford
Town.
He
had re-joined the Foresters in May 2018 from Evesham.
He
had a successful first spell at Cinderford where he was an integral part of the
club`s title-winning side, also winning the club`s player of the year and
setting a Southern League record for the number of clean sheets.
He
left to play at National League and Southern League Premier level, representing
both Gloucester City and Hereford FC, finishing 2017/18 with then-Midland
League side Westfields after being released from Gloucester. |
