Bament (pictured) top scored with 21 league goals for Rovers last season but has returned to the
Western League to attempt to win promotion for Bristol`s oldest club.
Two
players return to Rovers for second spells.
Will
Hailston, tricky on the ball and with an eye for goal, re-joins from league
rivals Frome Town.
He
joined Frome in the summer of 2018 from Western Leaguers Bradford Town, who he
returned to on dual registration later that season.
His
previous clubs include Bath City, Bristol Manor Farm, Larkhall Athletic and
Paulton.
Another
player coming back to play for his local club is Dan Cottle, who Rovers have
also managed to prize from local rivals Frome.
Cottle,
who prefers the `number 10` role, also signed for Frome in the summer of 2018 and
also spent the majority of the 2018/19 season on dual registration with his
previous club, Bradford Town.
Finally,
Rovers have signed prolific marksman Jack Fillingham, who last season notched
28 goals in 31 games in helping Shepton Mallet finish in the top six of the
Western League.
Formerly
with Hengrove Athletic, he has been sought after by every ambitious local club
in both the Western and Southern Leagues, and it is somewhat of a coup that we
have managed to bring him to Paulton. |
