Martin
has added four new signings to date.
Defender
Jonathan Nzengo re-joins the Rocks for a second spell.
The
22-year-old re-joined Isthmian North club Romford under Paul Martin in August
2019 before switching to rivals Aveley just over a month later.
He
played for Romford on dual registration from East Thurrock whilst the clubs
were groundsharing.
He
returned to Romford having been released by the Rocks.
He
was previously with Ware, Great Wakering Rovers, Maldon & Tiptree and
Barkingside.
Louis
Bowen is a centre-back who joins from Waltham Abbey, where he had been since
2018 after arriving from Isthmian South Central rivals Hertford Town.
He
had joined the Blues from Ware a few months earlier, having been at Wodson Park
since 2017.
Had
a couple of spells with Spartan South Midland Leaguers Hoddesdon Town
sandwiched by a three-season stint with Hadley.
Central
midfielder Luke Illsley joins the Rocks from Isthmian South Central side Chalfont
St Peter, where he was very much a fans favourite.
He
made 31 appearances and scored 6 goals for the Saints before lockdown.
He
had previously been with Cheshunt and Hertford Town.
Another
new arrival is Alfie Cue (pictured).
The
21-year-old is a product of the Dartford academy.
He
made his Vanarama National League South debut for the Darts as an 18-year-old
and also spent time out on loan at Leatherhead and at Hitchin Town, who he
joined on a permanent basis during last season before ending the campaign at
Isthmian South Central outfit Hertford Town, for whom he scored 7 goals in 11
outings before the COVID-19 bug bit.
Callum
Taylor is a 19-year-old forward who was successfully converted to full back.
An
exciting young prospect who was an academy player at Barnet, he also
represented Bishop’s Stortford, Royston Town and Ware.
He
moved to Grays Athletic from Isthmian North rivals Basildon United in May 2019
but played only a couple of times before switching to another league rival,
Witham Town, in early September 2019.
He
moved again, this time to Southern League Division One Central outfit Welwyn
Garden City in late November 2019 and then onto Southern Premier Central side
Royston Town a month later. |
