Ronto Makes Gulls Switch

Canvey Island have announced the signing of midfielder Elliott Ronto from Isthmian League North rivals Heybridge Swifts.

Ronto made 38 appearances for Swifts in 2019/20 before lockdown.

Born in Brisbane, Australia, he turned out for Queensland Academy of Sport, Gold Coast United, Rochedale Rovers and Redlands United in his native Australia.

He came over to England in October 2016 and played in the Vanarama National League South with Bishop`s Stortford.

Technically very good, his set pieces are on the money & he is efficient in the final third too, he went on to have two spells with Witham Town as well as his time with Swifts.

He has represented Australia at under-18 level.
