Oti mainly featured for Town`s sister side Coggeshall United last season in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division South, where he netted an impressive 19 goals in 28 appearances before lockdown.

He previously featured for Vanarama National League North side Brackley Town, before his Essex move, and played in the squad that won the Buildbase FA Trophy in 2018.

He was originally on the books at Colchester United.

Regent boss Kem Izzet told https://www.brightlingsearegentfc.com: "Khris will be a great addition to our squad.

"He`s quick, scores goals and makes things happen.

"Don't be fooled by the level Khris was playing at last season because he is far better than that. He was arguably the best player in that division! I think he will surprise a few defenders this season."

Gilbert (pictured) made 44 appearances, featuring in every game last season for the Gulls, scoring 7 goals.

The 21-year-old winger joined Canvey Island from Thurlow Nunn Leaguers Halstead Town in December 2018.

He has previously spent time on trial with FC Barcelona after impressing while playing for Peterborough United’s youth team.

Izzet added: "I'm pleased to get this one over the line to be honest.

"Kane is a technically gifted player who works hard, with an eye for goal too.

"I'm looking forward to working with Kane whilst helping him develop and progress in his football, I think he will be a great signing for us".
