The former Ipswich Town star signed dual registration forms at Ram Meadow in January 2020.

The Trinidad & Tobago international was with the Tractor Boys for four years and also played for Wrexham, Luton Town, Sunderland and Millwall.

Now 41, he made 191 appearances for Ipswich between 2009 and 2014, 166 for Wrexham and 50 for the Black Cats.

Before retiring from international duty with 90 caps and 4 goals to his name, Edwards played for Trinidad & Tobago at the 2006 World Cup campaign against Sweden, England and Paraguay.

He was named as joint Woodbridge player-manager in April 2019 alongside Jamie Scales and coach Glenn Snell.

Meanwhile, Ben Chenery has tied up a deal to sign AFC Sudbury academy graduate Baris Altintop following a spell as his un-named triallist in recent pre-season friendlies.

Altintop spent three years as a youngster with Ipswich and then with Colchester United and was also with Needham Market before joining Sudbury.
