Club
owner Paul Stretford said: “It’s a decision that’s justified and warranted by
the hard work and performances Dave and Fraser have done over a long period of
time now. I think the timing was right, it’s been a difficult year, it was a
point where coming up to Christmas I wanted to put out a positive message and
do something that shows we’re going to progress the club in a professional
manner.”
McNabb (pictured) and Ablett expressed their delight at the new deals with McNabb saying: “I’m
really excited, the club has become a big part of my life in football and at
home. I’m excited with what we are planning for the future and I’m made up to
be on board for the next two and a half years. The timing feels right as we are
trying to get more stability into the club.” Ablett added “It’s a really
exciting project to be part of and we can now focus on doing what we are here
for which is being successful on the pitch”.
