Armstrong joined Pools on loan at the beginning of December from SkyBet League Two side Salford City.

The original deal was a loan until January with the verbal agreement Armstrong would stay till the end of the season.

The forward has hit the ground running since arriving at The Vic, scoring 6 goals in 7 games.

Manager Dave Challinor told https://www.hartlepoolunited.co.uk: “Luke staying to the end of the season was a deal that in my eyes and his was agreed back in December when he came to us.

“The signing of the paperwork is the formalities part of it boxed off and anyone that wasn’t, can rest easy that he’ll be part of our group as the season progresses”.
