With
the Sod's finding themselves in a similar position to Shrivenham, the move to
Barrington Park now offers the Blunsdon-based former Royal Wootton Bassett Town player the chance to prove
himself in the Hellenic Premier on a regular basis – if or when the season does
finally get back underway.
Having
joined the Western League side back in September 2020, Coombe featured in 13 of
the Sods fixtures this season, the last of which was the club`s 2-0 home defeat
against Brislington back on December 28th and Shrivenham manager Chris Hurley
praised the player’s exceptional ability.
He
told the club`s website: “We’re delighted to announce the signing of Josh. He
is a terrific talent, who we’re thrilled to get onboard. He’s a quality
left-back with really good experience of the Hellenic and Southern Leagues and
his ability will be a great addition to our group. He’s a fantastic signing for
us and it shows the kind of player that we are attracting to the club in order
to take Shrivenham forward”. |
