Steve Castle, manager of Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division club Royston Town, has clinched the signing of former Stevenage captain Ronnie Henry.

The vastly experienced 37-year-old joined Vanarama National League South side Billericay Town in July 2019 after ending his second spell with Stevenage.

 

The vastly experienced centre-back began his career at Tottenham Hotspur. However, he was released at the age of 17 and joined Stevenage Borough on a free transfer in January 2005 and would later become a key member of a historic Boro side including a Conference Premier play-off win against Torquay United in 2005.

 

In his initial seven-year spell, Henry won the FA Trophy in 2009 and gained four England C caps and has also won promotion with Luton Town.

 

After leaving Stevenage to join Luton in 2012, he returned to Broadhall Way two years later, where he went on to become Stevenage’s all-time record appearance holder with 0ver 500 games to his name.
