New Skipper For Guildford

Combined Counties League Premier Division South club Guildford City have signed defender Antonio Simeone from Pitching In Isthmian League Premier Division side Merstham.

Simeone, who has been named as captain by manager Paul Barnes, is a strong, physical and composed left-sided centre-back with excellent distribution and an eye for goal.

He originally signed for Merstham in June 2019 from Tooting & Mitcham United where he was supporters` and managers` player of the season during the 2018/19 campaign.

He numbers Ashford Town (Middx), Godalming Town, Walton & Hersham and Carshalton Athletic amongst his other former clubs.

He transferred to Isthmian South Central outfit Chertsey Town in February 2020 and then re-joined the Moatsiders in October 2020.
