The 23-year-old joined Vanarama National League South side Havant & Waterlooville in August 2020 from Isthmian South East Division side Hastings United.

A hardworking and hungry individual, he was at Fulham as an under-12 before joining the West Ham United academy.

From there, he signed for Bromley’s youth set-up before making his first team debut against Guiseley AFC towards the end of the 2015/16 season in the National League.

He made a further 3 substitute appearances the following season. He scored 34 goals in his first full season with Hastings in 2018/19 after joining them from Bromley midway through the previous campaign.

He scored 9 goals in 36 appearances for Hastings before lockdown.

Bird told https://www.kingstonian.com: "I'm delighted to have signed such an outstanding prospect.

"Daniel fits the profile of striker we need for this team perfectly. He is quick, plays with great movement and scores goals. In losing Corie we needed to add goals to the team. In signing Daniel, I'm confident we have achieved exactly that”.
