Joining
Ben Acquaye from Kettering Town and Charlie Pattison from AFC Dunstable at The
Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium is 20-year-old wide player Morgan Roberts
following his release by League Two side Northampton Town.
Roberts
joined the Cobblers academy at the age of 10 and made his first team debut
against Oldham Athletic in the final game of the 2017/18 season, signing a
three-year professional contract a few weeks later.
In
his first season as a professional at Sixfields, he made a further 4 first team
appearances.
In
October 2019 he spent a month on loan with Banbury`s league rivals AFC Rushden
& Diamonds before joining the Puritans on loan the following month.
Whilst
at Banbury he made 11 appearances and scored 4 goals, prior to being recalled
back from his loan and making 5 more first team appearances for the Cobblers.
Last
season he added 7 more appearances to his name at Northampton and had a month
on loan with Vanarama National League North side Brackley Town.
He
was not offered a new professional contract by Northampton at the end of last
season.

sure the fans will be delighted to see Morgan back after he impressed on a loan
spell a couple of seasons ago. Our attacking options look really promising now
and Morgan adds great quality to that”. |
