The
20-year-old becomes the Seagulls’ third signing this summer to date, joining Jordan
Bastin from Tiverton Town and Jason Pope from Bath City at The Optima Stadium.
Murray
joins the Seagulls after spending the last two years with Toolstation Western
League Premier Division neighbours Clevedon Town.
He
moved to the Hand Stadium in September 2019 from rivals Odd Down.
The
son of former Bristol City winger and current City kitman Scott Murray, Jay is
an exciting young attacker that has represented his county and has also played
for Bristol Academy, Congresbury and Hengrove Athletic.
Murray
featured for Weston in Tuesday night’s 2-1 win over Exeter City, putting in an
admirable performance on the right wing.
Manager
Scott Bartlett told his club`s website: “Jay is a Weston boy and one we have
monitored for a while.
“He’s
a direct, old-fashioned winger with lots of energy and we are pleased to bring
him into our group”.
